BetterCalc is a calculator that can display everything you type as you type it, while constantly auto-updating the total. Say goodbye to the "=" key and say hello to real calculating!
BetterCalc is designed to be used by anyone. That’s why it supports interface modules called “Skins”. Skins are files that can change BetterCalc’s appearance. There are seven skins (and the built-in CyberPlastix skin) in the BetterCalc package. More skins can be obtained from the MacZ Software website. More information about Skins can be found in the “Read This - Skins” file, located in the BetterCalc 3 folder.
BetterCalc 3 is shareware. Registration costs 8 US dollars. Registered users will receive information of updates and bugfix releases via email. Among other benefits. Installation:
Just unstuff the download file - since you're reading this, you've most likely done that already.
Requirements:
• A PowerMac. 68K Macs are not supported.
• System 7 or later. Mac OS 8 or later recommended.
Registering BetterCalc
Registering is easy: either point your web browser to the secure registration site at http://order.kagi.com/?UMG&S (or without the "&S" for non-secure browsers) or open the Register program that accompanies BetterCalc. Enter your name, email address, postal address and the number of single user licenses (or site or world wide licenses) you wish to purchase. Save or copy or print the data from the Register program and send the data and the payment to Kagi.
If you're paying with a credit card, you can email or fax the data to Kagi. Their email is sales@kagi.com and their fax number is +1 510 652-6589. You can either copy the data from Register and paste it into an email message or you can save the registration form into a text file and attach that file to an email message. There's no need to compress the text file, since it's already pretty small. Or if you have a fax modem, simply print the data to the Kagi fax number.
Payments sent via email are processed within 3 to 4 days. You will receive an email acknowledgement when it is processed. Payments sent via fax take up to 10 days and if you provide a valid email address you will receive an email ackownledgement.
Payments via postal mail take some time to get to Kagi and then about 10 days for processing. If you include your email address, you will receive a registration confirmation via email when the form is processed.
If you're paying with cash or check you should print the data using the Register application and send it to the address shown on the form, which is:

You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries, but if you're paying via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars.
If you have a purchasing department, you can enter all the data into the Register program and then select Invoice as your payment method. Print three copies of the form and send it to your accounts payable people.

BetterCalc has a registration code protection scheme, and once you've registered, we will tell you via email how to tell BetterCalc that you've registered and how to remove the shareware reminders.
